At the beginning of the day we started our day yet again by getting on the cold yellow bus. As we arrived at the Lodge we were greeted by our leaders/educators. Before we started on our adventure we played a fun game called where is the ball this game consisted of the kids (and Mr.B) throwing or passing the ball to each other and trying to keep Max from guessing who had the ball. As we started on our journey we were greeted by a huge amount of miserable cold rain. Almost all our group was miserable except for Sophie, Sophie was having a great time jumping in puddles and laughing with our leader. We quickly realized that we need to change our attitudes.

Mr.Woolner joined our group adding a great source of knowledge to the group. The first wonder that we saw on our route was the rapids. The rapids were flowing at a high speed and were crashing into the rocks and splashinglogs on the way down. We sketched this and continued moving on. Walking over the mud and on the broken planks that acted as bridges. We stopped at a giant hemlock and were told to sketch it while Mr.Woolner told a story about why the hemlocks have their heads hanging low. After this sketch my sketchbook was ruined, it was wet and all the pages were stuck together. We then stopped for lunch by the pond and we were greeted by fire salamanders that were absolutely fascinating. As this was our last day we were all trying to make it our best although nothing really could outdo day two. We went to the lodge for a bathroom break and saw a fascinating thing: a monarch coming out of its cocoon. We sketched it and were then on our way again. After we hiked up a huge hill for a great sign of history, an old ski tow and car. The car was rusty and falling apart with many of its pieces scattered around the area. As well the pulley system was a great sign of how the times are changing and how we have become more invented and how we have improved over time. We ended our experience at cardigan with a fun game of sharks and minos. Getting on the bus and remembering this experience forever.

Following day two day three was also unique in the way of its theme. The theme that was best portrayed was movement. I believe this because of how everyone and everything has come and gone in multiple different ways. When we arrived at Cardigan. As well when we left Cardigan. When my group was exploring and learning about Cardigan we discovered that Farmers used to live on cardigan. We saw actual proof of this when we witnessed the cellar hoel with the foundation of a house and well. This shows movement by the farmers leaving to find better land this was really cool to learn. Another example of movement was the water flowing down Cardigan going to the Atlantic ocean. This was very cool to see many rivers and knowing that they are all going to same place.Although I believe the most truly memorable example of movement was the monarch butterflies. As many know monarch butterflies travel to Mexico from New England and I was able to see a butterfly start to leave on its long journey. I believe that day three was a great day and was a perfect example of movement.
